What is Black Ops 6 gear? While your primary method of combat in a Call of Duty game will always be the gun you wield, the gear in your back pocket shouldn’t be ignored either. Grenades, remote-controlled cars, and even throwing knives can all come into play on the battlefield. Knowing what to use in each situation can be the key to success.
Black Ops 6’s release date is just around the corner, and we now know all the gear you’ll be using in the campaign and multiplayer. Longtime fans may recognize some of the returning gadgets and should be excited by the prospect of new ways to eliminate enemies and build reputation levels in Black Ops 6.
All Black Ops 6 Gear
Here’s every piece of equipment confirmed for Black Ops 6 so far:
Lethal equipment
Here are all the deadly weapons and their unlock requirements:
fatal | grade |
Flagg | 0 |
sticky grenade | 9 |
C4 | 14 |
Thermal grenade | twenty one |
impact grenade | 26 |
Molotov | 32 |
Explosive Trap | 41 |
Drill charging | 50 |
tomahawk | 53 |
fragmentation grenade
An important part of your lethal arsenal, the cookable frag grenade returns in Black Ops 6. If an enemy throws a grenade at you, be sure to throw it back – this is just a courtesy.
sticky grenade
They say that in an FPS game you should find something that sticks to you and stick to it…unless it’s a small time explosive. A sticky grenade is convenient because it sticks to the surrounding environment, ensuring it doesn’t bounce away from its intended destination.
C4
A short-range throwable explosive charge that must be manually detonated by the player. The damage is huge and the explosion radius is huge.
Thermal grenade
Burn it, baby, burn it. We’re not sure about disco hell, but you can always rely on a water heater to keep things warm. This “nader” creates a huge cloud of fuel and air that burns up in a short period of time.
impact grenade
A grenade that explodes on collision with the environment or other players. Very useful against enemies hiding behind cover, as you can create precise explosions within their radius.
Molotov
A projectile that creates a sheet of fire wherever it lands, ideal for rushing players away from a fixed location or drawing enemies away from the target area.
Explosive Trap
The Explosive Trap is very similar to the Broadsword in that it detonates near an enemy. Likewise, enemies can get around it if they’re careful, although in this case it will need to be slowly crawled over. However, considering the extreme speed of BO6, you’d better avoid the narrow corridors as much as possible.
Drill charging
A throwable explosive that sticks to the first surface it hits and drills down as it detonates. Ideal for fighting enemies enclosed in small spaces.
tomahawk
Pretty self-explanatory. Pick up an ax and throw an axe. Tomahawks also bounce off surfaces, so you’ll get bonus points if you hit them with the bounce.
Tactical equipment
Here are each tactic and its unlock level:
tactical | grade |
concussion | 0 |
flashbang | 6 |
spy cam | 12 |
smoke | No. 17 |
proximity alarm | twenty three |
Thrilling shot | 30 |
bait | 35 |
impact charge | 42 |
concussion grenade
If you have an off day, pick up a concussion grenade. Landing slows the victim’s movement and aims long enough for the crosshair to be in place.
flash grenade
If you don’t like concussion grenades, the Noble Flash Grenade is your best friend. These grenades blind those unfortunate enough to be within their line of sight when they explode, all but eliminating any way for the enemy to fight back. Just don’t flash yourself…
spy cam
A gadget that marks enemies and hostile equipment and scores points for your team. Take aim to gain the upper hand on defense.
smoke bomb
A throwable object that creates a thick cloud of smoke that obscures the vision of enemies and teammates. Use for masking methods, or creating safe exit points for you and your team.
Thrilling shot
If you manage not to get hit by a laser within 0.2 seconds, Stim Shot can help get you back into the fight quickly by healing you and Refresh your tactical sprint. This is a buy two get one free deal.
proximity alarm
Prox Alarm offers not one but two The sticky alarm sounds and flashes violently when an enemy approaches. What’s more, triggered alerts appear on the Allies minimap, so everyone knows where to head directly.
decoy grenade
If your forte is absolute threat, try decoy grenades. This inconspicuous device can simulate the sounds of footsteps and gunshots to confuse enemies. Oh, and it sticks to surfaces, so if you want to adjust your 7.1 surround sound settings, you can simulate death from above.
impact charge
A trap that sticks to surfaces and stuns enemies if they get too close. Useful for creating a safe perimeter around a target.
Field upgrade
Here are each field upgrade and its unlock level:
Field upgrade | grade |
assault pack | 0 |
scrambler | 18 |
signal bait | 27 |
morphine syringe | 44 |
war cry | 35 |
Quan Mine | 0 |
tactical insertion | 39 |
Trophy system | 12 |
nerve gas | 48 |
audio amplifier | 41 |
sleeper agent | 51 |
assault pack
Assault packs drop a box of ammo and gear, providing your team with useful mid-game supplies. If you’re good at not dying, this is the one for you.
Quan Mine
A trap that triggers when an enemy approaches. It bounces up before exploding, ensuring maximum damage to anyone standing.
scrambler
Destroy enemy equipment, field upgrades, score records and minimaps within a certain radius. Place one of these on a target to confuse enemies as they approach.
signal bait
Shows your position on the enemy’s mini-map, but you earn extra points for kills and survival time. Come pick me up.
war cry
Creates a radius around yourself that increases allies’ movement speed and health regeneration for a short time.
tactical insertion
Dropping the flare marks a point on the map where you will respawn the next time you die.
Trophy system
The trophy system is the perfect antidote to these pesky projectiles, as it dutifully destroys them in mid-air. Thanks, trophy system.
nerve gas
Deploying a neurogas trap is rather dastardly, as the cloud of neurotoxic gas it releases can cause severe hallucinations and disorient and harm victims caught within it.
morphine syringe
For a short period of time, fatal damage will put you on the last stand rather than killing you outright. Your teammates can come to your aid and revive you.
audio amplifier
If you like locking sound cues, the Acoustic Amp is made for you. This handy Black Ops 6 gear makes enemy footsteps louder, helping you scout their exact location.
sleeper agent
Perhaps our favorite item in BO6, the Sleeper Agent allows you to disguise yourself as an enemy teammate and appear as them for a short period of time. What’s more, doing the elimination will extend its duration. It’s not perfect, though, as being shot or picked up by a reconnaissance device (such as a drone or Prox Alarm) will reveal your identity.
That’s all the gear you can use in Black Ops 6. Now, check out Black Ops 6’s system requirements to get your gear ready.
