this AMD Ryzen 9000X3D release date It was just revealed, and it comes at the perfect time to make life really difficult for Intel. After months of speculation, AMD has finally taken the wraps off its new gaming CPU lineup in a pre-launch trailer, which is expected to include the new Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

If all the rumors about the new AMD chips are correct, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D looks set to steal the best gaming CPU award from the 78000X3D at launch. AMD’s X3D CPUs have a huge extra cache stack on top of the CPU core, which we found significantly improved frame rates in our own gaming benchmarks.

AMD Ryzen 9000X3D release date

Ryzen 9000X3D release date is Thursday, November 7, 2024. If AMD sticks to the same naming strategy as the previous generation of X3D chips, that means we could see the eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D, and 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D launching today.

Assuming AMD sticks to the same naming strategy as the previous generation of X3D chips and releases an eight-core model on launch day, then AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D release date is Thursday, November 7, 2024although AMD has yet to officially announce which X3D chips will be available on that date or what their names will be.

However, if the 9800X3D does launch, it will be just two weeks after Intel’s Arrow Lake launch, which means there won’t be much of a honeymoon period for the new Core Ultra 200 series.

The tagline for AMD’s teaser announcement is “The next generation of gaming is coming,” and the company also revealed a few specs, but the details are sparse and none of them will be surprising. These specs simply confirm that the new CPU will use AMD Socket AM5, support PCIe 5.0, and require DDR5 RAM.

AMD hasn’t revealed any other details about the new CPU, but the 9800X3D is rumored to have a higher clock speed than the 7800X3D, potentially boosting to 5.2GHz instead of the 7800X3D’s meager 5GHz. This seems to be supported by a 9800X3D benchmark leak, which showed that the new CPU is 28% faster than the 7800X3D in Cinebench and 13% faster in games.

However, we don’t think the new CPU is a low-cost option. According to a leaked source, the price of the 9800X3D “won’t be cheap” and considering the 7800X3D is priced at $449, this may indicate that the new CPU may cost more when it launches, which may mean that the 9800X3D will cost $499. USD or higher.
